Photomash is a format that focuses on mashing up a set of given images to create a new piece. You could say that this is the art equivalent of a remix.
Hosts can use Google Image Search's Usage Rights filter to better source pictures without treading on copyright.
Oh, and Tilde had money to throw at the BotB Kickstarter.
Anything that can create and manipulate visuals from scratch, free and paid, including, but not limited to:
- Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Flash
- GIMP, Inkscape
If you were feeling like doing arts and crafts, you could print out the pictures and make a collage if you wanted. Like with going analog on draw
, you still have to get the image on to the site somehow. BotB is in no way responsible for any damage you do to your scanner if you put your collage together with glue :v
Restrictions on submit
The resulting submission must be an image.
It's also NOT allowed to use anything apart from the pictures given with the bit pack. That means, you're not allowed to insert text (via text tool) or other pixels, if they're not made out of the pictures you got with the bit pack. Using any effect available in your favorite image editing tool is fine tho. It might also be a bad idea to edit the pictures that much, so that noone can identify them anymore (but that's up to Criticist).
