If I remember correctly I created this account 4 years ago before I even started making music because I saw easynam mention botb in the description of one his song on soundcloud, and I was super happy to see he had tunes he never shared elsewhere here

I don't even remember why I had the idea to come back here a few months ago... I probably was feelin shitty about myself as usual and was looking for a way to make music without thinking too much about it
And now looking back at all of my entries its crazy how much stuff I've made... Like obviously Im dumb and i keep getting angry at myself because I'm not doing more, I keep missing major battles I'm interested in just because I feel like what Im making is shit, and sometimes I get ready for an ohb but get overwhelmed by anxiety 10 minutes in and give up.... BUT STILL I did all of this, damn gj me, idk how u doin it

So yeah I've been doin pretty bad in life recently but Botb REALLY helped and you people are just too kind for this world, so thank y'all for all of the positivity you bring here

I think your idea about XHBs having a longer time between beghast and begin is a good idea! It's traditionally been 5 minutes I think because OHBs are more of an impulsive thing organized in the chat.

5 minute schedule on ohb is because the risk of burning boons when hosting (as your battles couldn't get enough submissions), so it's usually more based on the "quora" from #battle_of_the_bits - i prefer to be more "polite" on scheduling for hours or days (but i get boons burnt eventually) - so, even when the remaining battle end time is about 5 minutes i rush in my "wonderful and amazing" songs and submit then anyway, which is actually an excellent workflow training (specially when you don't care that much about the votes you'll get! ;) )
