11khz playback rate

mp3 render made with stereo mix+recording software because i dont have a proper tool to make a proper bytebeat wav export. also it loops twice and fades out

thanks jimmyoshi for making his ohc entry! i 'stole' most of his code and did my stuff over it

if you have a powerful pc you can change the SAMP_RATE variable to 22050 (first line of the code) and so the playback rate for a higher quality

also, here's jimmyoshi's entry i referenced in the description http://battleofthebits.org/arena/Entry/damnit+kf+i+have+to+do+homework+why%27d+you+have+to+pick+now+to+host+a+bytebeat+ohb+%5BPLAY+IN+22000+Hz+wow%5D.txt/17659/

DUDE! This is amazing! The low playbackrate just enhances the experience! And yes, this tune is awesome. Should have had a proper ending though, only "complaint". ;) Faving it!

Cute, it sounds like it could be a theme for a character on an NES game almost. Not fluent too much with the capabilities of that sound system but it seriously does sound like it belongs in an RPG or Platformer. Next time I run into another friend who is planning on making a game, I'll be sure to show him this piece and a few more songs of your work man, it's good stuff.

Thanks a lot :D
About the capabilites of bytebeat, well, ~in theory~ it's limitless (except for the output being 8-bit) - for instance, this entry even features FM synthesis!
However, you have to program everything, somehow figure a way to do the desired sounds, and considering bytebeat's concept is REALLY basic, it's gonna be very very difficult to make complex sounds.

optimized version by greggman (yup, the creator of the html5 editor/player that we use and love): http://goo.gl/XUZvo8
here it runs smoothly even at 44khz! (changing the first line to SAMP_RATE = 44100 accordingly, obviously, else it sounds like 4x faster lmao)
