This is a recording of an in-store cassette tape that was played within the short-lived BOTB physical store (1979 - 1982). I worked at the store from its inception to its unfortunately early closure and held onto these tapes with the hopes that they would be of use some day. I hope you enjoy this relic from the past!

Special Thanks:
Ivy Hollivana - Voiceover for the Intro
Robyn - Voiceover annoucements / mixing assistance
My Girlfriend - Voiceover work
DeltaRazero & dhg - A pair of ears to make sure everything sounded okay :)

That echo clap throughout that song... my god that gives me anxiety. Totally reminds me of the default Cisco Call Manager hold music.

@hornet, you're somewhat close in the fact that it is a clip from a video game!

It's from the game Control :) I originally tried out some PA announcements from Deus Ex and also the game Prey, but I found Control's the most fitting at least to me

I really like this entry, but I feel like it sounds more like 1989 than 1981.

I can understand that fully. Truth be told, I wanted to name it closer to 1987, but after some research, some of the commercials I used for filler during the interludes were all made coincidentally in 1981, and for some reason I couldn't bring myself to name it that on account of inaccuracies for the commercials heh.
