I like listening to my own songs, but I’m worried I’m inflating my own view counts, since every time I play one of mine it gets a view.

sure! there is even a nifty feature where you auto-fav your own song after the 5th listen!

if you want to avoid autofav and listen on the site, you can use private windows, container tabs, different browser profiles etc., basically somewhere where you're not logged in. or what i do is collect my musics in some place outside of botb so you can listen there instead

though you should listen to other peoples entries on botb logged in so you can be nice and give them extra points (and maybe even favs if you listen enough times!)

all we can say for sure is that playcounts reflect the aggregate love an entry has received.

suppose your work is played ten times by yourself; or suppose instead it's played by ten other people, once each - in which case was it loved the more? is love fungible?

we don't have the answers, we can only ask the questions.
