story: the ailments of botb have leaked out into space, do your best to contain and eradicate.

gameplay: pretty much just a basic shmup. move around, shoot the ailments, dodge the ailments and bullets, and rack up points. see how long you can last.

controls are:
- up/down/left/right: movement
- z: shoot
- m: toggle background music
- s: toggle sound effects

more details: there's a set pattern of waves before it repeats itself, but each subsequent round of waves is slightly more difficult (takes more hits, fires faster, etc.). you get points for hitting and killing ailments, and each round gives an additional 10% point bonus per round.

mostly tested on Chrome, though it seems to work on Firefox too from some brief testing.

(also this is like 20% of what I had planned which was way too ambitious for how much I ended up actually working on this)

having only one hit is hard, but its okay. another issue i had was that the missiles are just red dots and thats hard to see on black background. cool game tho. its fun! :D

This is pretty fun. The controls seem a bit.. off somehow, but it's not too hard to get used to.
The music is nice.

having only one life is pretty rough

Game starts: "GAME OVER"

Very straight-forward and honest game. I noticed nothing odd about the controls. You get only one life as it should be (you shouldn't be putting bucks into arcade machines). It's also space shmup which is one of my favorite genres.

Extra points for using vanilla JS instead of bloated wasm engine libraries. Also didn't try to come up with "creative" ways to get away with the spritesheet limitation so that's cool.

Would be nice to have more complex enemy/bullet patterns and maybe powerups too. Got a score of 40827.
