yeaaa boiiiiiiiiiii

THIS is why I always say ppl like beethoven and co would enjoy metal

classical lends itself perfectly to metal arrangement

this is why i like Queen. they had some fun proto-metal classical-ish songs.

and thanks for the kind words. :-)

Max, definitely got the hardcore Brian May vibes immediately from both the composition and the tone choice. Lovely piece! Super enjoyable, perfectly done neoclassical metal. If you don't already know of cacophony, Jason Becker, and Vinnie Moore, you would loooove them!! Awesome track.

did you sample your own guitar and drums for this? if so that's awesome.

no haha, that's kontakt 4's solo guitar amped up in guitar rig 4 for the top two voices and the bottom voices are rhythm rock guitar. drums are studio break kit from the same sample library (my standard go-to drums because my computer can't handle anything fancier). there's no bass cause metalocalypse taught me that they just mix out the bass anyway.

i was planning to actually play and record these parts but i'm not sure i have the requisite virtuosity, and too much sloppiness would ruin the effect i think.

Great compo!

if you're into this kind of classical metal stuff, just listen to the Great Kat (for example "beethoveen on speed"), it's quite ecstatic! (and also "Arc Lite", by Coroner, but of course there are tons of great classical metal bands)

It's okay to switch to completely clean for the quiet bits. Well done.
