I wanted to make a moody track about rain but it got out of hand quickly.

Most instruments were ripped from MD tracks or came with Deflemask. A few of them were edited using my nonskills.

Nice although this doesn't sound like a moody track at all, more like a beat-em-up action OST or something in my opinion. Pretty cool but something about this falls a bit flat.. I think as you learn more about tweaking the patches, things will start to come together a bit more. Keep it up, and try working on your mixing (levels), the leads don't really pop out in the mix right now, just kind of get buried. Keep it up, I'm sure you will have some bangin tunes soon.

Hey, th4 D34D. Thank you very much. You easily detected all the n00000bness =)

Adding to everything you said I think it was a bit too rushed and listening to it after a while I think it could have more variety.

But it was quite fun to build and it taught me a good deal already. I've been trying Deflemask for a few months and I like.

I'll keep all the advice in mind. But getting any sound to come out the way I want from tweaking the patches has been fail fail fail so far.

That's awesome my man, very stoked you are setting out on your deflemask journey! It will be a fun one indeed. Just keep it up and it will definitely start to come together. The sound design will become more and more intuitive as you progress. One piece of advice, open up some patches that you really like and try to reverse engineer them, compare them to the default patch settings so you can see what sort of tweaks give you the sound you want. You can be very successful just using patches, but the more control you have over your production the better.

And of course keep coming back here and posting your tracks!! This site is excellent for improving, as you can learn a lot from others tracks, get good advice on your own tracks, and even end up collabing and trading WIPs with others. Feel free to hit up the discord or irc chats if you ever need advice, help, or just want to get some ears on a WIP.
