Lonely Corner of the Octupled Kilobyte File
  10th/108   Σ27.356   Aug 25th 2012 5:29pm
Yes, I made an 8K .IT entry! I turned off "Embed MIDI data" to do the job, as that was the cause of all of those dummy zeroes. Samples are not compressed since I used miniscule samples in the first place... the difference is at best a few bytes. Actually, I quite literally used almost every single available byte of memory to produce this.

This is the loneliest tune of all... it is found in a lonely location in its 8 kilobyte space on the hard drive. Like its octuple-sized brother, it has no care in the world for channel limitations, but unlike its octuple-sized brother, it is restricted in size to the point of near-loneliness... as if the music itself is all but a dream...

I'm surprised I won the 8K mod category, even for my first entry! All I really did was effectively abuse the channels via instrumentation: I did this entire track in nine channels and nine patterns, and simply used a half-speed trick to reduce the number of null rows since I wasn't thinking of putting a lot in there.
