hey, im sorry to point it out, but this is an illegal entry according to the rules of the battle.

"Entries that have been previously publicly released are not allowed."

since this track was released before, you're not allowed to submit it in this battle (which you did nonetheless)
also the allowed file-format for bytebeat is .txt and you uploaded a .mp3

I read the rules for bytebeat, it says "link to generator tool, sample playback rate, and algorythm(s)". I provided the link which has all that.

I released the demo only 2 days ago, and released this mixed down mp3 version today. Sorry if I broke your rules.

check the info box in the top right corner of the bytebeat format article. it clearly says:

file types - .txt

which basically means, that this is the file you need to upload. mp3 upload has to be done afterwards. (keffie already made a better comment than me, sorry for just listing what you did wrong instead of giving you a helpful advice as well whoops. lvl28 still noob i guess x.x)

oh! this is a really cool bytebeat! yeah, the actual ticket for entry is to upload the text that produces the result in a file for entry, THEN once you've done that there's a secondary option to upload an mp3 (it's a bit unintuitive if you're new to the site, so i apologise if people are being rude about it)

(its done that way because botb's meant to be an archive, so we like having the code "on site" as it were, instead of in links to other websites. there's also a preference for original music written *for* the contest, since a lot of people were preveiously just submitting old songs they had lying around instead of engaging with teh website. since this song is so new, it's probably fine though)

Thanks for the help everyone! I added the javascript code and function to my entry description, hopefully that fulfills the requirements. I'm all about sharing the code, I learned from looking at others people work.

i thought the previously released rule only applied to things that have been previously entered into a competition

a couple years ago when i submitted "bridge review guy", i'd already uploaded that one like months beforehand
