one solution, i think, to chipchamp's request would be to have "next in category"/"previous in category" buttons, in addition to the regular next/previous buttons, on every entry in a multi-format/multi-theme battle. this would facilitate easier voting a category at a time (which i found to be a useful technique for summar chipz).

EDIT: oh yeah, category means formats in this case. not like "shit in pants" and "produfunction" etc. :)

Yes, separate tabs for formats in the votes section. It would really help organize the 100+ entries and maybe help not scare the noobs away from voting.

Seems that I'm too new to make a new thread, so I think that this is the closest right place to post this:

In the http://battleofthebits.org/browser/ the matrix is of 4x11, but there is an empty place at the bottom right, and I thought that would be very great to fill that place with a DefleMask ".dmf" category :D, there are already various tracks created with it, and I hope that there will be much more in a closest future.
